Panini 2026 FIFA World Cup sticker album: release date, price, number of stickers and what changed
Excitement around the Panini 2026 FIFA World Cup sticker album has kicked off in a big way. With the tournament set to begin on June 11 across the United States, Mexico and Canada, Panini has confirmed the key details of the 2026 World Cup sticker collection — and this edition already goes down as the biggest ever.
When does the 2026 World Cup album come out?
The official release of the Panini 2026 World Cup album is set for May 1, 2026, a little over five weeks before kickoff. Pre-orders are already live on Panini's official site, and newsstands and retailers should receive the first cases of sticker packs in early May. The date was confirmed after an official press event reported by CNN Brasil and ESPN.
How many stickers are in the 2026 album?
There are 980 stickers across 112 pages. This is the largest FIFA World Cup sticker collection Panini has ever produced — nearly 300 more stickers than the 2022 album, a direct result of the tournament's expansion to 48 national teams. Each team gets a full page with 20 stickers: 18 players, one official team photo and one federation badge.
How much does the album and packs cost?
In Brazil each pack retails for R$ 7 — the same price as 2022, but now with 7 stickers per pack instead of 5. The softcover album goes for R$ 24.90, the hardcover edition costs R$ 74.90, the silver/gold hardcover is R$ 79.90, and the Premium Trophy Box collector's edition sells for R$ 359.90.
Special covers and new features
The 2026 edition features special covers for each host country: the United States, Canada and Mexico will each get exclusive artwork. This is also the first time since 2014 that sticker packs contain more than 5 stickers. On top of that, a first-ever partnership with Coca-Cola will put free stickers inside selected bottles in the US and Canada.
Watch out for pre-order scams
Panini has warned that several unauthorized offers and sites have been circulating ahead of launch. The safest path is to buy only from official channels: Panini's website, major retailers and licensed newsstands. Suspicious pre-orders on marketplaces and social media should be avoided.
What about the digital album?
While the physical album hits stores, the World Cup Stickers app lets you collect the 2026 World Cup right on your phone: just point the camera at the sticker number and it goes straight into your digital album. The app is 100% independent, free, has a swap-spot map and works offline. Drop your email at the top of the site to be notified at launch.
